The Kleinberg Trail- Badge Hill Walk
The turnoff from the old Robertson Road opposite the brickworks up to the top of Badge Hill.
Village Walks
There are several interesting walks through the village, signposted very kindly by the Heritage Society and accessed from the main road Voortrekker Street.
Vrolijheid
Situated approximately 5km from McGregor on the Robertson road, Vrolijkheid Research Station is involved with the breeding of small game, the preservation of flora & fauna, and the maintenance & control of the hiking trails and bird hides in the area.
The Heron Trail
This is an easy 3km hike past two beautiful dams, both with bird hides,
Vrolijkheid MTB
A pleasant 8km circular route which winds through the Vrolijkheid Reserve
The Rooikat Trail
This is a more strenuous 19km circular trail through the Elandsberg Mountains.
Boesmankloof Trail: McGregor- Greyton
Leading through the spectacular Riviersonderend Mountains with steep gorges, large rock pools and stunning waterfalls, and passing through the Riviersonderend Conservation Area, this 14km hike requires a reasonable degree of fitness.
The trail may be hiked one way in a day (please arrange transport the other end) or a 2 day "there-and-back" is available. No overnight camping is allowed on the Trail but there is an overnight municipal campsite in Greyton.

McGregor-Oakes Falls-McGregor
A very popular option is the 1.5 - 2 hour hike to the breathtakingly beautiful waterfall - take along a picnic and your swimming costume and spend the day relaxing in heavenly surroundings.
Beautiful, unspoilt surroundings - well worth the uphill hike back!
